Steritrap needed its NHS Evergreen assessment done to be considered through NHS innovation routes. We produced the PPN 006 Carbon Reduction Plan and first-year forecast footprint behind it, then worked through the Evergreen submission with them.

The Company
Steritrap designs sealed wastewater trap systems that reduce the infection risk associated with hospital drains and sinks.
It is an early-stage business selling into the NHS, where carbon reporting and a completed Evergreen assessment increasingly decide who gets considered.

To be considered through NHS innovation routes, Steritrap needed a completed NHS Evergreen assessment, backed by a compliant Carbon Reduction Plan and a credible carbon footprint. With a four-person team and no in-house carbon expertise, they wanted it handled properly and quickly.
How The Carbon Stamp Helped
Scoping the requirement
We started with a call to map what NHS innovation routes expect: a completed Evergreen assessment, a PPN 006 Carbon Reduction Plan, and a defensible footprint. We agreed the order of work from there.
A forecast footprint and CRP
Steritrap has no trading history yet, so we built a first-year forecast footprint from expected activity across travel, deliveries, commuting and spend, then produced the PPN 006 Carbon Reduction Plan. Turnaround was fast and the ask on their team small.
Through the Evergreen submission
We worked alongside Steritrap to complete and submit the NHS Evergreen assessment, making sure they understood each requirement and were comfortable with what was submitted.
The Forecast Footprint
Steritrap has no trading history yet, so its first year is a forecast covering 17 June 2026 to 30 June 2027, built from expected activity rather than actuals. As an office-based manufacturer the whole forecast sits in Scope 3.
